Facilities at the Churchill House

Self-Check-In
Rooms are available to check-into from 1 pm, with last arrivals welcome no later than 10 pm. Earlier arrivals for luggage drop-off are possible with prior arrangement only so your house entry code can be adjusted accordingly.
Our guests are provided the flexibility to check-in at their own convenience using a personalised code for the front door and instructions provided prior to your arrival. Your host is not present at all times of the day although we will come to greet you as soon as available to do so and help with any queries or requests you may have.
Upon making a reservation a 'Self-Check-In Guide' is issued which explains everything you'll need to know for your arrival, including your personalised front door entry code. We recommend reading and saving the guide on your mobile device for later use, or printing the guide only if necessary.
A few days prior to arrival guests will receive a 'Registration Form' which should be completed ahead of arrival.
Luggage & Bicycle Storage
Storage facilities for luggage and bicycles are available to guests during their stay.
Luggage drop-off prior to the 1 pm check-in time can easily be arranged with advance notification of an early arrival time.
These facilities are also available to all guests on the day of check-out, for guests who wish to leave luggage with us while visiting the local sites before collecting later in the day.
Parking
There are limited off-street parking facilities at the Churchill House which are reservable upon advance request and pending availability.
Please note that the spaces are suitable for small/regular sized vehicles only.
On-street parking is available throughout the local area with the following options:

Street parking in front of the Churchill House and on the side street Laureston Place is free and unrestricted from 5:30 pm to 8:30 am the next day (all day Sunday). At other times of the day you are permitted 2 hours free parking, so in effect you can park from 3:30 pm to 10:30 am the next day.

Public car parking facilities are available just across the street from the Churchill House at Woolcomber Street car park and St James' car park.
Self-Catering Guests' Kitchens
All rooms and suites at the Churchill House are let on a self-catering basis only and have access to fully equipped kitchen facilities and dining areas.

All rooms, except the Sarah apartment, currently share kitchen and dining facilities on the first floor half-landing.

The Sarah apartment is fully self-contained and has it's own private kitchen facilities.

Complimentary continental breakfast items are provided for guests' use.

There is no in-house breakfast service option.
Dover Cruises
The Churchill House offers the perfect stopover prior to embarking on a cruise from the ancient port town of Dover. With homely comforts, warm & friendly service, great location and beautifully appointed rooms in a historic 1830's property, we humbly invite you to experience Dover with the Churchill House as your temporary home.
We are ideally situated close to the town centre, Dover Castle and the White Cliffs, as well as being within easy reach of the cruise terminal (5 mins by taxi) and Dover Priory train station.
